Glendale Galleria – For The Shopper In You

December 19, 2018

I’m not a big shopper, but for some reason whenever I end up at the Glendale Galleria…I stay until it closes. I decided that it must be because of the architecture by Jon Jerde (who also did CityWalk, Newport Beach’s Fashion Island, the Fremont Street Experience in Vegas, and the Mall of America in Minneapolis among many other mall and entertainment spaces).  The skylights create a well-lit, open space that make it easy to spend hours shopping here. ... Retailers Should Focus On Older Demographic, Not Just Millennials

December 5, 2018

Don-Alvin Adegeest | Wednesday, November 07 2018 In retail, there is a saying brands should go where there customers are. In an omni channel world this could be bricks and mortar, mobile commerce or online. New research from Hitachi Consulting found stores should not channel all their marketing efforts into Millenials, especially at the expense of older generations. Hitachi Consulting found that 74 per cent of physical stores are targeting consumers in the 19-38 year-old age bracket in order to maximise sales from mobile and digital, along with a view to securing the loyalty of the next generation of shoppers. ...
